1. Introduce
yourself. Tell us who you are, what you do, why you are taking this class, what
you do for fun, etc.
My name is
Carolyne Obonyo, I come from Kenya, a teacher by profession. I work on campus
at the Center for International Studies and Programs. I decided to take this
class to gain knowledge about eLearning. I decided to take this class to catch
up with technological advances in learning industry and improve the way I have been
conducting my classes. I like visiting places for fun.
2. What
connections do you currently have with eLearning, what do you want to do with
eLearning, why are you taking this class?
I took an online course
during Spring quarter and found it to be very interesting, informative and convenient
because I could study in my own time and pace. By the
time I was completing the course, I had gained a lot of information from my
colleagues whom we were interacting with through the blog, via emails and some
through skype.
Useful web resources were provided by the course instructor,
different learning styles employed which made learning enjoyable. All these
made me to be interested in eLearning and I went forward to change my program
plan so that I can take eLearning courses.
I would like to
use this knowledge in designing my courses to facilitate flipped classroom. I
know there will be a lot of challenges but am determined to seeing it succeed.
3. Copy and
paste your best post from the Blackboard discussion forum. Explain why this
post is your best and explain how it demonstrates your knowledge, your process
for investigating topics or has helped you identify something you need to learn
more about.
This post is my best because the principles matched with what I was presenting i.e. Resume writing. Dr. Merrill has used relevant examples to explain how instruction should be facilitated. This helped me to design an online self paced instruction which helped learners to improve their resume writing skills.
Hi every one. You are welcomed to post your comments.
